Apron of Love Flowers for CTC#185

Hello inky friends! I'm super excited because it's that time of the week for the crew from CASEing the Catty to show you what has inspired us this week from the Stampin' Up! catalogue but also because I'M GOING ON HOLIDAYS!!! I'm going to miss touching base each week here on the blog and I really hope you don't forget about me. I'll be away from the blog for a few weeks as this coming week is going to be full on getting everything packed and the house ready for the sitters. Oh, I wish I could just wiggle my nose like Jeannie (anyone else have a childhood fantasy that they could just wiggle their nose and magic whatever up, like in that old show I Dream of Jeannie? Ok, some of us have held onto that fantasy into adulthood!!)

We are off on a family holiday to Port Macquarie for two weeks in our caravan. Two glorious weeks of no stress. The boys are planning on getting as much fishing and surfing in as they can (yep, it will be cold but they have those u-beaut steamers that keep them toasty) and Miss P and I will do........ whatever we please! Maybe some walks & bike rides, a spot of shopping here or there, see some of the sights but essentially no set agenda!!!

As a Mum, I'm really going to treasure this holiday, the kids are getting so much older now, 18 & 16. Before I know it, they will be off doing their own lives but for now, they still are keen to go away with us.

Now, let's get down to business, the CASEing of the Catty. This week we are CASEing....

It's a very cool suite this one, and I have purchased the whole suite as there is some holidays that I want to scrap with it and the stamp set is a great unisex set but am I using that today? Nope, sorry, you will have to stay tuned for that! What took my fancy was the cute little card on page 61 that features the little flowers from the Apron of Love Stamp Set & coordinating  Apron Builder Framelits Dies.......

Super sweet don't you think? I love those little flowers as much as I love the new Designer Series Paper packs that come in all the Colour Collections. The Stampin' Up! sample above, I'm guessing is Old Olive and out of the Regals Collection. I don't have that set yet, notice the yet? I have the In Colour pack and am really loving using it, so the rest of the colour collections are high on my shopping list, notice not wishlist, them babies are coming home to Mama!

For my card I have used the colour combo of Call Me Clover, Daffodil Delight and Lovely Lipstick. The Hello Friend sentiment is from Wood Words stamp set and I have added some Basic Jewels Pearl to the centre of the larger flower dies. The card is a cute size of 6" x 3", actually a smidgy under as I made sure that not only did I get two card fronts out of the DSP but I also got two card bases out of the one piece of cardstock.

CASEing is so easy! You need to give it a whirl! For more information click the graphic below......

Be sure to hop all the way around and see all that the crew have to show you this week, your next stop on the hop is Rachel Palmieri who is sure to have something amazing for you to see!

One last thing......

I'll be back before you can wiggle your nose!

Inky hugs,

Megan xx
