CASEing the Catty #117

This week the CASEing the Catty Crew have chosen pages 12-15 of the Sale-a-Bration catalogue.

My case is the Tasty Truck card.

I have CASEd the embossed matt and general layout. This card came together so quick, one because I was CASEing and two I was using some leftover elements from a card that I had made earlier that day. 

When I am designing a card I will often stamp & cut out a few different colours and sizes of elements to see what I like best by offering them up in the layout. I guess some would consider it a waste of paper and ink but for me it makes decision making so much easier and in this example I have used up the leftovers! I might make it my mission to start using them up more often and I did see someone's idea somewhere that they store any leftover elements in a ziplock bag in the stamp case that it came from, very clever.

My very first proper post AND my very first challenge!!!

Well that is if I can pull all this off before I rush off to work! I'm hoping I can enter my card in the Global Design Project Challenge this month, their theme challenge is animals! That is right up my alley as I am a Vet Nurse by trade and work my normal job as a receptionist at a very busy Veterinary Practice here on the Sunshine Coast.

As we speak, I have just finished a horrid weekend shift filled with tick & snake victims so keep your fur babies safe as the weather warms up lovelies!

Now to try to insert my photo of my card......

Ok that seemed to work probably would like to make it a bit bigger but no time now got to get to work!

I've used Best Birds stamp set & the matching thinlet set & also the Labeler Alphabet with some gold embossing. Throw in a few gold sequins, perch the birdies on a gold foil frame made from the layering circles framelits and that's my card.
