Guest Designer - Joy of Sets - Letter "T"

Just a quick post to share a card I whipped up for the Joy of Sets blog challenge. I'm Guest Designer for them this week and am very honoured.

Joy of Sets picks a letter each week and the challenge is to use a stamp set beginning with that letter. It can be a current or retired stamp set, so great for getting out some stamp sets that may have not had any love lately!

The stamp set I chose was Tabs for Everything, it is a current set in the annual catalogue and co ordinates with a really cute tab punch that goes really well with the Stampin' Up! Planner.

As you can see, I have not used the punch for this project but rather used the little icon stamps to create a graphic background with the Colour Theory Designers Paper. I simply masked of the separate areas and stamped away with Basic Black Archival Ink. It makes for a really simple but bold card, don't you think?

WWYS #133 - Magical Mermaid

Hello! It's me again! I've been busy this week, lots of cards to be made!!

It's my pleasure to be the Guest Designer for the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog this week, each week they pick a stamp set to feature and for this week it is the beautiful Magical Mermaid stamp set.

I had so much fun making this card! There is two layers of watercolour background, I just kept adding layers, drying it and then adding another layer until I was happy with the result. Sometimes you just have to have faith in the process and be patient, at stages I was thinking, Yuk! Don't like that, but if you keep going and build the layers up, viola!
