Twilight Waterfront for CTC173

Hello lovelies! I am in a Stampin' Up! bliss right now. I've just gotten back from OnStage in Sydney and to say I had a fabulous and fun time is an understatement. We had SO much FUN! I really look forward to spending quality time with my crafty friends and meeting new ones. If you would like to see some of the antics we got up to I've posted a few photos on my business Facebook page just CLICK HERE and if you want to join in on the fun, pop me a line and I'll let you how easy it is!

I came home with a hard copy of the new Annual Catalogue (coming out 1st June) and a swag of freebies (including 4 stamp sets!). I'm really sorry but I can't share too much in the way of pictures or information at the moment as we have a spoiler policy in place as conferences are happening all over the globe and we don't want to ruin the surprise for them and then some things are just for demonstrators eyes for the moment (just one of the many, many perks).

The new catalogue is Ah-mazing!!! I can't wait to share it with you but in the mean time, there is still so much to show you from the present catalogues. For CASEing the Catty this week we are CASEing from the ........

I couldn't go past CASEing the little treat bag below as it uses my new favourite (for now,) until something else catches my eye!) stamp set, Waterfront.

I really wanted to try my hand at creating this twilight scene and here is what I've come up with!

Instead of a treat bag, I've turned it into a card front and use Elegant Eggplant for my matt and coloured ink (with Craft Ink for the white parts) and mounted it onto a Night of Navy card base. I'm in love with that Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon, it's to die for!

We'd love for you to join in with our challenge, just click below for more details, it's super easy to do!

Make sure you continue on with our blog hop and hop on over to Rose Packer's blog she has absolute stunner to show you today!

Thanks for stopping by!

ESAD 2017/18 Annual Catty Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Hello lovelies! Today I am participating in another ESAD blog hop with the theme being Sneak Peek of the brand new Annual Catalogue for 2017/18 or aka  "catty " in Stampin' Up speak. You might be starting with me or maybe you have just seen some gorgeous projects from Josie Dean, for some amazing inspiration make sure you hop right around to all of us.

One of the many perks for being a demonstrator is you have the opportunity to go to Stampin' Up's twice yearly OnStage event (conference) and other than catching up with friends and making new ones you also get to see and play with new product a lot earlier than the general public, you even go home with a copy of the new catalogue, get to put in an order of selected items and wait for it, go home with freebies of the new stamp sets and products! This enables us to have a good play with it before we get to unleash it on our fabulous customers! So, we have had a bit of a play by now and thought we would get together and show off some of the projects we have come up with. Warning! It is probably going to grow your wishlist somewhat when you see all the awesome projects everyone has made to share today.

For my card today I have used the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous, I love, love, love the font on this one.

To make this card I used a second generation stamping technique. I saw the technique demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire. It involves stamping exactly the same design twice. Firstly, fully inked up and then on the second piece without re-inking the stamp, hence you get a lighter image. The square that the sentiment is on is cut from the middle of the second piece of paper (with the lighter image). Ideally it would have been great if I had time to make something with the leftover pieces but I have been so busy planning for the Stampin' Day Retreat that myself and two of my stamping buddies are holding in a couple of weeks that alas, I ran out of time. But! stay tuned I will create with them in the near future and I will be sure to show you the results.
Of course, while I have the stamps and inks out I might as well make the inside pretty too and the envelope usually gets a bit of attention as well.

Well, I hope you have a pen and paper out beside you while you hop around from one demonstrator to another as I really feel that you will want to put some things down on your list for once the new catalogue goes on sale on the 1st June.

Thank you for stopping by today and thank you to all those lovely people who have subscribed to my blog and leave comments! (Note - to do this you need to actually click on the title of my post and go to my actual blog page.) Sprinkles of Life Basket for CI07

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post to share a sweet card I made for the Colour INKspiration challenge #07. I'm a bit late posting this as the challenge is finished and we are onto our next colour palette challenge, but thought I would still share my card!  I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, which I was shocked to realise that I had never made up the basket before! Now, that doesn't mean I have too many stamp sets!! It just means that Stampin' Up has such versatile stamp sets and that the possibilities are endless. Well that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

The Sprinkles of Life stamp set is cute as and as I said versatile, as it can be made into a basket, tree, cupcake, icecream, cloud etc. It also coordinates with the Tree Builder Punch so cutting out is a breeze!

Above you can see the colour palette that we were to use, so pretty!

For my watercolouring I just scribbled the markers onto a clear block and then picked up the colour with my Aquapainter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers Megan xx

ESAD Blog Hop - Last Chance SAB 2017

Yeah! For another ESAD blog hop, so much fun. I love the challenge and seeing what everyone else comes up with. There is so much inspiration to be found on this hop so make sure you follow the links and see everyone's fantastic creations!

This blog hop is focused on the fact that we only have ONE month left of Sale-a-Bration. That means, only a few weeks remaining to earn some fantastic freebies, whenever you spend $90 and it means only a short time left to join Stampin' Up! As a part of sale-a-bration not only do you get the usual $235 of product for $169 (and you pick whatever you like for your products, there is no set kit) you also get to pick two additional stamp sets (that is up to an extra $179 of product), plus throw in the free shipping. Now that is awesome value. Especially when you consider that you are not locked in at all and that there are no penalties if you choose to leave.

Now I have you up to speed on what you don't want to miss out on lets move on to my project for you today. I always try to create an interactive fun card for my kiddies birthdays and even though they are well into their teens, they are still very much appreciated. When I saw a fellow demonstrators Poppin' Box Card I knew I had found the one! Now for my apology, I can not for the life of me find that original tutorial that I followed, so very slack of me not to be able to give credit where credit is due. I tend to lose myself in the creative process and not take any notes of colours, where I was inspired from or costings (as some of my special SU! friends can attest to!). I just create, that is why I joined SU!, as it is a form of relaxation for me. I completely lose myself in the creation process and no notes are taken. My goal is to get better at this without losing the spontaneity. Please comment below if you have any tips or suggestions for me!  OK the card, I'm talking too much. OMG! Stop Press! I have found the link for the very creative Gemma Clarke, her tutorial was super easy to follow click HERE.

Here it is in it's little tray box, all closed up. I'm so in love with the colour combo of Night of Navy & Watermelon Wonder.

Then you pull the tray from the sleeve & out pops a box! The pop action is simply a rubber band inside, who thinks these things up?! Crazy creative!

I had so much fun decorating all four sides of the box!

Colouring is so portable. I stamp my images up in my craft room and then attach to a clipboard and take wherever I want to colour. In front of the TV, out on the deck, in the car waiting to pick kids up (how many hours downtime do we have there alone!).

Thank you for stopping by today! Just click the arrow below to move along to the next person in the blog line up.

Cheers Megan
