CI20 - Channeling Pop Art!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week has started out to be a good one.

Today I am sharing an entry I have done for the Colour INKspiration challenge.

This was the brief.....

I was a bit stumped at first, what on earth was I going to create? Clutching my four paper swatches I gazed at my ever increasing stamp collection until my eyes rested upon Watts of Occasions and let's just say a light bulb went off! (hee hee, sorry I had to!)

A bit pop art-ish don't you think? The light bulbs are embossed with copper embossing powder and the rest was just simply cutting the four rectangles to the perfect size. I played with putting a sentiment on the front but it just ruined it so I popped it on the inside.

Thank you for popping by today, why don't you have a go at the Colour INKspiration Challenge too, you don't need a blog, just a Facebook account. Click HERE to go to their page.

CTC152 - Painted Autumn/Spooky Nights

Hello everyone! Welcome to this Sunday's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop, this week the crew will be CASEing from pages 48 - 55.

I chose to CASE the card below as I don't normally use much Designer Series Paper on my cards.

I'm really happy with how my card turned out. It was so quick and easy. One, I was CASEing a card and two, the background was as simple as cutting up a piece of pretty paper!

For the inside I just used the heart border die from the Sweet Treats Bag, so simple but effective.

We'd love for you to join in on the fun! Just click the image below for more information on our Facebook page.

It's time now to continue hopping, next stop, Mel who has a wonderful "treat" for you this week. Just click the image below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog for any questions just use the "Contact Me" section to the right on my blog page.

CTC151 - Catalogue Covers and Hostess Sets

Hi lovelies! It's me again, phew my third blog post for the day! Busy, busy, busy!! This time I am sharing with you my CASEing the Catty project for this week. The theme is.......

I've CASEd the card on the bottom right of the Holiday Catalogue but changed the orientation to portrait instead of landscape.

My Best Birds Stamp Set was gathering some dust, so I was happy to use it! The leaves are from Flourishing Framelits, I've just trimmed, added and molded them a bit to wrap around the Stitched Shape circle.

A little bit of inside love.

Sorry to make this post so short and sweet, it's crazy at our household at the moment with renovations and I had three blog posts to write today and paint some walls, do the laundry..... you know how it is!

We'd love it if you join along with our challenge and you don't need a blog to do so, you just need to upload a picture to our Facebook page. For more info click the graphic below......

Thanks for stopping by! I promise, no more blog posts today, phew! Now it is time to hop along and see what Elizabeth has in store for you, just click the graphic below....

ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds and 3D Projects Blog Hop

Howdy everyone! Welcome to the ESAD Fancy Folds & 3D projects blog hop. I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with, you are in for a treat!! Just in case you are not aware of what ESAD is or stands for........

I decided to do a Scallop Tag Punch Fancy Fold.

It's super easy, just start with half a piece of card stock, cut length ways though (ie. card stock in portrait position, shorts sides top & bottom in your trimmer). Score at 17cm. Insert each short end, centred, ALL the way into the punch (sometimes it takes a little bit of wiggling to thread it all the way in) and punch. Cut off the tabs and voila!

I used the Painted Harvest Stamp Set to decorate my card, so in love with it! I can't believe I wasn't going to get it, I'm so glad Miss P told me to get it. I'm so lucky, not only do I have my wishlist but I also have a 17 year olds wish list too, to try fulfill!

Time now to continue on your hop and see what Cheryl has in store for you! Just click the graphic below and if you get lost along the way, see the participant list at the very end!

Colour INKspiration #19 - Beautiful Bouquet

Good morning everyone, Happy Sunday!

It's so beautiful today on the Sunshine Coast, we have had rain for a couple of weeks and it is so good to see the sun out in full force today. My card today is a bit of a "sun-shiney" one too!

I've used the gorgeous stamp set Beautiful Bouquet and the matching thinlets Bouquet Bunch, no fussy cutting needed!! The colours I have used are below and are from the Colour INKspiration Challenge.

I love colour challenges!! This one was beautiful and immediately made me think of a bunch of yellow flowers. If you would like to participate in the Colour INKspiration Challenges just click HERE, you don't even need to have a blog, you just need to post to their Facebook page!

That's it for me now, thanks for stopping by!

CTC150 - Fav Big Shot Project

Hello lovelies! Really quick post this week as I am getting ready for a Stampin' Day Retreat and I didn't want to miss out this week (can you believe I had my project done last week but just ran out of time to photograph, edit and write the post, so frustrating! I need more hours in the day, "Who doesn't!", I hear echoing back!!).

This week we are CASEing our favourite Big Shot project from the  Holiday Catty. I knew straight away what I wanted to do, Christmas Quilt! It was the product that when I first laid eyes on the new catty, I thought " I HAVE TO HAVE THAT!" (yep capital letters were in my head!).

I CASEd the colour combo from the catty too, I love that Old Olive & Basic Black DSP and in this project I teamed those colours with the new Champagne Foil. I also used the new Crochet Trim, it's gorgeous!

To get the three different colours in the quilt you need to run the dies through the Big Shot three times, so I thought "waste not, want not" and decided to use up the coloured off cuts.

And finally here is the third, I love the fact that I didn't waste all those little bits and got three cards made. I also love that even though it is a Christmas stamp set, it is versatile enough to be used for other occasions, same goes with the colour combo!

All three cards got the same insert, quite simple, just the top & bottom embossed with the Quilted Embossing Folder (not sure if that is what it is a called but no time to look it up!). I can't decided which way I prefer it, debossed or embossed, I really like both effects.

Anyway, time to fly! Please join in on the fun and show us your CASE on our Facebook page, just click below ....

Also, don't forget to hop right around our blog hop and see what all the other amazingly talented ladies have produced for your viewing pleasure this week, just click below to see what Judy has in store for you!

CTC148 - Kits & Memories & More

Hi everyone it's Sunday and it is time for the CASEing the Catty blog hop. We are a group of demonstrators that love to take inspiration from Stampin' Up's! amazing catalogues and once a week choose a section to CASE (Copy & Selectively Edit). This week we are CASEing the Kits and Memories & More section from either catalogue.

You may be starting with me or you have hopped on over from Monique's blog, either way, make sure you hop right the way round and see some great inspiration from the crew.

My card this week is pretty CAS (Clean & Simple) I usually struggle with this style but when you are  CASEing it is so much easier to do something that isn't your norm.

I used my Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp to create a really bold background with Pacific Point and teamed it with some Lemon Lime Twist to give it a big contrast, some addition of silver heat embossing and mini silver sequin trims finished it off. I think I can also add this to my masculine stash of cards which is rather lacking compared to the rest of my stash!

The card I CASEd is the one on the far left in the picture at the start of my post.

Now there is two things left for you to do. Firstly, join in on the fun and try CASEing the sections yourself, for more info and to upload your creation on our Facebook page, click the button below.

Secondly, if you haven't been all the way around with the blog hop it is now time for you to hop on over to Krissy's blog and see what she has created for you! Just click the button below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 18th Sam! - CI18 & GDP106

This week we celebrated with one of my daughter's best friends, her 18th Birthday. It was a wonderful celebration and really reminded me that next year is a year of so many different possibilities for my daughter and her friends as they leave school and embark on the next part of their lives. If all goes to plan my daughter will be leaving home and studying in another state! Yep, still processing that....

Anyway I wanted to make a really special card for Sam and when I saw the colour palette from the Colour INKspiration challenge I knew it would be perfect.

Next step was to figure out what layout to do for the card and Global Design Project came to the rescue with this sketch. For more information on the challenges click on the respective pictures to be taken to their sites.

Now I had better show you the card!

I used the Number of Years Stamp Set and matching thinlits to personalise the front with the number 18. The DSP is from the Whole Lot of Lovely range. I love the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder, it's great for lots of occasions and add some great texture.

The inside and envelope was personalised with Letters for You. You can't get anything more special than something personalised for you! I can make personalised cards to order for you too! If you would like a card for a special someone contact me and let me know, it doesn't necessarily have to be with their name on it, it can be any theme from baby to kids, male & female, special occasions or maybe just some thank you cards to have on hand.

Thanks for stopping by today!
