Wedding Card for Top 10

Remember last month, when I made a card for a competition to take part in an international blog hop? Well thank you to all those lovely people that voted for me because I got into the Top 10, number 7 actually, not too shabby I say! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. To see my winning card click HERE.

The theme for our winners blog hop is Wedding also, so I had to think of something really special, if you are going to give a card to commemorate such a beautiful occasion, you need a really gorgeous card .

What do you think? I'm really happy with how it turned out. You can't beat cream & gold or in Stampin' Up speak, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil & Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. What makes this card so special and perhaps me a little crazy, is that the flowers when cut out are usually a filigree/lacey type cut out, you can see it HERE on this card. What I did though was cut it out again in Gold Foil and used all the negative pieces (the ones you would normally throw away) and pieced them into the vanilla piece to give a embossed look. Yes that's right, I sat there and glued each of those pieces of gold back into the Vanilla frame. Some would say it's crazy but I find it quite relaxing doing intricate work like that and the end result is so satisfying!

The inside needed some attention too!

The So Detailed Thinlits and So In Love Stamp set are retiring at the end of this month but they won't be retiring from my stash! Now, I'm not too sure if they are still available, you should check out all the retiring products at my store, there are some HUGE discounts. I've been on holidays in Tasmania for my daughters birthday and am writing this post in a little block of time before going to work this morning. We didn't fly in until late and I didn't get to bed until 1am and then up at 6am, it is going to be a long day! My apologies for lack of knowledge on stock availability and perhaps this post having some errors!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and again thank you to all that voted for me.

Cheers Megan xx
