Sprinkles of Life Basket for CI07

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post to share a sweet card I made for the Colour INKspiration challenge #07. I'm a bit late posting this as the challenge is finished and we are onto our next colour palette challenge, but thought I would still share my card!  I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, which I was shocked to realise that I had never made up the basket before! Now, that doesn't mean I have too many stamp sets!! It just means that Stampin' Up has such versatile stamp sets and that the possibilities are endless. Well that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

The Sprinkles of Life stamp set is cute as and as I said versatile, as it can be made into a basket, tree, cupcake, icecream, cloud etc. It also coordinates with the Tree Builder Punch so cutting out is a breeze!

Above you can see the colour palette that we were to use, so pretty!

For my watercolouring I just scribbled the markers onto a clear block and then picked up the colour with my Aquapainter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers Megan xx

Retirement List Blog Hop -ESAD 2017

Hello Lovelies! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out what I have been up to this week. My post today is a part of a blog hop that I am doing with some of the talented ladies from ESAD.

Our blog hop theme today is the Retirement List, on the first of June we welcome a brand new Annual Catalogue jam packed with an awesome array of products. Approximately half are carried over from the current Annual or Occasions Catalogues and half is exciting new things, this however means that we need to say goodbye to some products. Today's blog hop is featuring some of those that will be departing come 31st May, most are still available to be purchased (a lot at discounted prices) but once stock runs out, that will be goodbye forever. Don't delay snapping up your favourites.

For my project it was an easy pick. To say I love the Special Reason stamp set with it's coordinating framelit dies is an understatement, I can't see me parting with this set for a loooong time. I love its versatility, the framelit dies can be used to either have a peekaboo effect (see HERE for an example, and make sure you scroll down to see the flowers with a watercolour effect too, it's one of my favourite creations I have made) or run the flower through again with the outside border framelit and you get a beautiful intricate flower and there is two sizes of flowers and leaves. You can see other examples of cards I have made with this set HERE and HERE .

Ok, my project today is a Mother's Day card using this awesome set, with a simple Z fold. Mother's Day is coming up on the 14th of May here in Australia so I thought I had better design a card for my card class and get them prepared. Actually, truth be told, I need to thank one of my card class ladies for prompting me and asking "Are we going to do a Mother's Day card, next class?" I wonder when I would've remembered?! How special will it be for those Mothers to receive a card handmade by their loved one? Extra Special!

I think I have started a colour crush on Sahara Sand, I have been working with it quite a bit lately. It's a beautiful neutral and teams in this project with Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla beautifully. You can see a list of all the supplies I used for this card at the bottom of this post.

Here is a side view of the card.

It's time for you to hop on over to the next person on our blog hop today. You can do that by clicking on the green arrow below and if you at all get lost, there is a list of participants below that you can click on their name and you'll be taken to their blog post. Thank you once again for visiting me!

Cheers Megan xx

Wedding Card for Kylie's International Blog Highlight April

Hello lovelies!

Today I am posting a card that I have entered into Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight, the theme this month is Weddings. With this challenge you are able to VOTE for my project and if I am lucky enough to be in the Top Ten, I then get to take part in a international blog hop! I would really appreciate it if you could click the link to Kylie's page and vote for me and while you are there have a look at all the other gorgeous projects too!

Just find my project (number 2) and click to vote!

I guess I had better show you this card I am asking you to vote for, hadn't I?

I have been wanting to have a go at constructing a wreath for a while (so many ideas, so little time, you know how it goes) and I am really happy with how this turned out. You could do it with many of the different flower stamps in the catalogue, for this one I chose one of my favourite stamp sets Jar of Love, the gold embossing looks so special in real life.

This card has already found it's new home, one of hubbie's work colleagues asked me to make a card for an upcoming wedding, I do hope the recipients love it. In this case they liked one of the cards from my collection but I can also create made to order cards for you too! If you click HERE and HERE you will see some other examples of wedding cards. Just contact me with the details, it can be for any occasion.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and again, if you could spare a minute to vote for my project it would be very appreciated!

Cheers Megan xx
