Hello and welcome to the December ESAD Blog Hop.
You may be starting with me or just hopped over from viewing Carly's amazing work. We have quite a treat for you today with a Sneak Peek of some of the new products that will be available in the Stampin' Up Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration that comes out in January. As demonstrators we are lucky to get our hands on new product early! Got to love that!
The first project I have for you is using the beautiful So In Love stamp set with coordinating So Detailed Thinlits Dies.
I have made a slightly larger card for this one as I wanted to play with the thinlit and see if I could get it to cut one large circular(ish) element and it worked! It was just a matter of carefully rolling the thinlit through the big shot and stopping just short of the edge. I then turned the thinlit around, lined it up and repeated the process. This is proving REALLY hard to explain, I know in my head what I need to tell you, maybe a photo out of the catalogue will help.
See the middle example, that's what the thinlit was designed to do, be a card wrap. I've just cut it twice and rotated it to make one lacy design. Mental note next time I do something a bit experimental, take photos! Anyway when you get your hands on this beautiful product you will see exactly what I mean.
Back to my project- I've use a colour combo of Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White. The Designer Series Paper that I have used behind my lace is from the Carried Away paper pack that is in Sale-a-bration catalogue. This you can get free when you spend $90 in January. I can't believe there is a whole catalogue of FREE stuff! All you need to do is spend $90 and then take your pick from stamp sets, papers, ribbons and the list goes on.
Finally, the inside of my card got a little love too.
My next project for you today is using a stamp set out of the Sale-a-bration catalogue, so yes, I got it for free.
Last but not least is a card using the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and coordinating Up & Away Thinlit Dies.
Judging the reactions from demonstrators at the OnStage Live conference I went to in November, this set is going to be very popular. I've used the colours Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party and Shimmery White for a bit of sparkle. The inside of this card also received some love.
Well thank you for visiting my blog. There is much more for you to see, so hop on over to Monique who has something beautiful to show you.
If you happen to get lost while hopping here is a list of all the participants, you can just click on a name and be taken straight to that person's blog.
I just love how fine those framelits are, just beautiful.
