ESAD Blog Hop 2017 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Sneek Peek Blo

Hello and welcome to the December ESAD Blog Hop.

You may be starting with me or just hopped over from viewing Carly's amazing work. We have quite a treat for you today with a Sneak Peek of some of the new products that will be available in the Stampin' Up Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration that comes out in January. As demonstrators we are lucky to get our hands on new product early! Got to love that!

The first project I have for you is using the beautiful So In Love stamp set with coordinating So Detailed Thinlits Dies.

I have made a slightly larger card for this one as I wanted to play with the thinlit and see if I could get it to cut one large circular(ish) element and it worked! It was just a matter of carefully rolling the thinlit through the big shot and stopping just short of the edge. I then turned the thinlit around, lined it up and repeated the process. This is proving REALLY hard to explain, I know in my head what I need to tell you, maybe a photo out of the catalogue will help.

See the middle example, that's what the thinlit was designed to do, be a card wrap. I've just cut it twice and rotated it to make one lacy design. Mental note next time I do something a bit experimental, take photos! Anyway when you get your hands on this beautiful product you will see exactly what I mean.

Back to my project- I've use a colour combo of Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White. The Designer Series Paper that I have used behind my lace is from the Carried Away paper pack that is in Sale-a-bration catalogue. This you can get free when you spend $90 in January. I can't believe there is a whole catalogue of FREE stuff! All you need to do is spend $90 and then take your pick from stamp sets, papers, ribbons and the list goes on.

Finally, the inside of my card got a little love too.

My next project for you today is using a stamp set out of the Sale-a-bration catalogue, so yes, I got it for free.

The set, Hey Chick comes with four images and three sentiments and is so cute. I used my Stampin' Write Markers and Aqua Painters to watercolour the image.

Last but not least is a card using the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and coordinating Up & Away Thinlit Dies.

Judging the reactions from demonstrators at the OnStage Live conference I went to in November, this set is going to be very popular. I've used the colours Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party and Shimmery White for a bit of sparkle. The inside of this card also received some love.

Well thank you for visiting my blog. There is much more for you to see, so hop on over to Monique who has something beautiful to show you.

If you happen to get lost while hopping here is a list of all the participants, you can just click on a name and be taken straight to that person's blog.

ESAD 2016 Holiday Catalogue Favourite Products Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog. It is all quite exciting as this is my first blog hop so, fingers & toes crossed I get all the hyperlinking and everything else formatted correctly! I won't be able to call it a hop if you can't move onto the next demonstrators blog!

Hands down my favourite Holiday Catalogue product is the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set & coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. Being a new demonstrator with a wish list a mile long I decided that I was only going to get one Christmas set this year and boy have I made it work hard!

In this  months card classes one of the projects my crafters have been making are some simple but fun and cute tags using the Cookie Cutter bundle. They are so quick and easy to make! The tag is punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and decorated along the bottom with strips of the Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape, done in a flash!

With your little characters you can keep them simple or go to town decorating/colouring them, I have lots and lots to make so I've kept it simple. I love the Santa stamped on Crumb Cake Cardstock in Cherry Cobbler with just a bit of clear or gold Wink of Stella to highlight. Really simple but so effective. Finish of your tags with some ribbons threaded through the top and voila!

I've also made numerous cards with the set, way too many to show you in just one post and not just Christmas cards. I love that the Teddy Bear can be used throughout the year, not just at Christmas time, more bang for your buck! Here is a card that could be used for a new baby or child's birthday (just change the sentiment up).

I've used one of the four Seasonal Decorative Masks to make my own designer paper. In this example I have sponged Craft Stampin' Ink through the mask onto Crumb Cake cardstock. Love, love, love this look! The Calypso Coral circle is embossed with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and the sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set and punched out with the coordinating Duet Banner Punch.

All my Christmas cards this year are made with the Cookie Cutter Bundle and with five cute characters, you can't get bored. We also have plans to make Christmas banners and bonbons/crackers decorated with these cute little guys too. So if you haven't already got this set, you seriously need to reconsider!

Thank you so much for visiting me! I would love it if you followed my blog, I'm only starting out but hope to post more and more regularly. Over to the right and towards the top of my page you can subscribe by entering your email.

Now it's time for you to hop over to Carly's blog to see what awesome things she has to show you!

A Flourishing Thank you

Hi everyone! I've just come back from OnStage, in Brisbane. Three glorious days of Stampin' Up conference, you would think I would be all stamped out but no! Straight back to my craft room. I was good and unpacked first, however it did take a while as I kept going through all my goodies that I was given  AND went through the Occasions catalogue again for the umpteenth time. That list just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.

I thought I would push myself and enter another challenge this week so this card is going in the Just Add Ink challenge this week. It's a sketch challenge this week.

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2016/10/just-add-ink-335sketch.html

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

I've used the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set & coordinating framelits.

Here is a close up of the copper embossing. How did we exist before copper embossing powder? It's the bomb, especially in real life. Number one goal get better at taking photos of cards!!!

Anyway, I really have to run as I haven't done my pre-pre order (they do have a better name for it but it just escapes me right this minute!) for the new catalogue and the cutoff is tomorrow, yikes!!

Cheers Megan xx

My very first proper post AND my very first challenge!!!

Well that is if I can pull all this off before I rush off to work! I'm hoping I can enter my card in the Global Design Project Challenge this month, their theme challenge is animals! That is right up my alley as I am a Vet Nurse by trade and work my normal job as a receptionist at a very busy Veterinary Practice here on the Sunshine Coast.

As we speak, I have just finished a horrid weekend shift filled with tick & snake victims so keep your fur babies safe as the weather warms up lovelies!

Now to try to insert my photo of my card......

Ok that seemed to work probably would like to make it a bit bigger but no time now got to get to work!

I've used Best Birds stamp set & the matching thinlet set & also the Labeler Alphabet with some gold embossing. Throw in a few gold sequins, perch the birdies on a gold foil frame made from the layering circles framelits and that's my card.

Thank you for dropping by, my very rushed entry but five straight days as the weather warms up is  as they say "cray-cray"!!!
Cheers Megan xx
