CTC154 - Case a Colouring Project - Both Catalogues

Hello everyone! Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop. As this goes to air, I will have just got back from the Gold Coast with my stampin' buddies, having attended Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event (like a conference). It's going to be so much fun, essentially a girl's weekend away doing what we love! We will have just seen all the new goodies about to come out in the new Occasions Catalogue, can't wait.

This week the CTC Crew are CASEing a colouring project, yeah! I love colouring, there is something meditative about it, being completely absorbed in something. I have CASEd the below card. I liked how you used your stamps to create your own background.

As you can see I have stuck to the layout very closely, just swapping out images and colours. I coloured this image with my Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. Just scribbling a bit of the ink from the marker onto one of my acrylic blocks and then picking up the colour with my blender pen.

We would love it if you played along this week, just have a flick through the Catty and find a coloured project that takes your interest and put your spin on it. Click the graphic below for more info.

Thank you for stopping by today, please keep hopping around and checking out what the rest of the crew have made for you viewing pleasure! Next stop is the talented Elizabeth Gross, just click below to see her gorgeous creation.

Colour INKspiration #21 - Guest Designer - A Pocket Full of Colour

Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start. Today I am very honoured to be a Guest Designer for the Colour INKspiration Crew and join in on their blog hop. If you have started with me welcome! Otherwise, you have just hopped on over from my very talented friend Lou Kitzelman, just a bit of pressure following her awesome work!

Every fortnight the crew set a colour challenge on their Facebook page along with an accompanying blog hop showing how they have all interpreted the challenge. I love colour challenges as they often push you to use colours you would have never dreamed of using! Here is the colour palette for this fortnight.

Pretty, don't you think? I stayed with the flower theme and made a Rose Red Flower with the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set and accompanying punch, the little So Saffron & Peekaboo Peach flowers are also from the same set.

Punches make putting a card together so easy. The leaves are in my favourite stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue, Painted Harvest and they too have a matching punch. How cute is that pocket from Pocket Full of Sunshine in the Soft Sky Foiled Frenzy Designer Series Specialty Paper? I played around with some sentiments for my card but all of them detracted from the card so I kept it simple and cute and just used the teeny HBD from the Pocket Full of Sunshine, on the pocket tab.

Some inside card love, might as well use up some leftovers!

It is now time for you to hop along to Nicole Wilson, she is sure to have something to wow you! Just click the graphic below and you will be taken to her site.

Oh! and do join in on the fun! You don't need to have a blog just a Facebook page. Click HERE for more information.

Thank you so much for having me Colour INKspiration Crew!

CTC153 - Case a Holiday Catalogue Tag

Woohoo it's Sunday and I am super excited as this is the week of OnStage! OnStage is a conference where demonstrators go to catch up with each other, see and play with all the new products prior to them being released to the general public and come home with some fabulous, free new products, oh and did I mention we get to pre-purchase some of the new products too!!

Of course, I'm also excited to be CASEing and blog hopping with the rest of the crew from the current Holiday Catalogue. This week the brief is to CASE (Copy & Selectively Edit) a tag.

I decided that I was going to find a tag and use it for inspiration to make a card. See the tag on the red present? That angled line really caught my eye and therefore became my jumping off point for the design of my card.

That is where the similarities cease!

My card uses the solid leaf from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and I have used it with the "ghosting" technique. You simply first stamp the image in Craft ink and then once dry (don't forget Craft takes a little while longer) you stamp over top of it with your coloured image slightly offset.
We completed this card at our Cuppa & Card Class this week and the results were beautiful and of course everyone's was a little bit different, some ladies even did a third layer and stamped the stamp image with the outline and veins.

Some inside love!

We'd really love it if you joined in on the challenge, click the image below to be taken to our Facebook page.

It's now time for you to see what the talented Kelly Kent has in store for you. Spoiler alert! My favourite Christmas colour combo this year! Just click the image below to hop on over.

Bye for now!
