CTC159 - Case any project from the Holiday Catalogue.

Hello lovelies! I hope you have had a fabulous week! Mine has been hectic again with starting another business, oh! so much work to juggle in the beginning but it will be so worth it, I'm super excited and as the saying says if you want something done, ask a busy person!

This week the CASEing the Catty Crew are CASEing any project from the Holiday Catty, yeah free rein! I already had my oh so adorable panda from the soon to be coming out Sale-a-bration set, Party Pandas coloured in from demoing at our last card class so I had to find a layout or colour scheme to use him. The project I CASEd is on page 17 in the bottom left corner, here it is.....

And here is my finished project.......

Super cute, huh? I think I will have to forcibly stop myself from using Party Panda every week! As you can see the basic layout is the same as the Stampin' Up! image just different colours, images and I changed the circle to an oval, because my Party Panda didn't fit in a circle!

The DSP is the Pick a Pattern Series and I have used the Diagonal Stripe background stamp.

The inside of the card also received some love....

You can find out more & join in on all the fun of our challenge by clicking the graphic below...

I hope you continue hopping around to everyone's blogs, next up you will be inspired by Monique's project, just click the graphic below to be taken to her post.....

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by!

CTC158 - Case a project from the page that is your age (or the age you would like to be!!)

Hello lovelies! Remember me...... ? Yeah I've been off the radar of late, life took over with graduations, formals, trips to Sydney, renovations & getting Miss P ready to head off to Japan for 3 weeks (lucky duck wish I was there!). I still managed to run card classes but blogging unfortunately took a back seat.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a project from a page that is your age or what you would like to be! Hmmm, I wonder how many honest entries we will have this week?? Maybe everyone will just choose to do the age they would like to be, possible a lot from pages say, 21 through to 29, do you think??

My CASE is quite a simple card to create, DSP is the focus and that gorgeous 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in Layered Leaves makes for a gorgeous background.

This is the card that I CASEd from, it is from page 43 of the Annual Catty, yep I'm 43 and proud to say it! I've CASEd the layout loosely. Why not give our challenge a go this week? Click the graphic below for more details.

And be sure to hop around to all the crew's blog sites and see all the inspiration they have in store for you. Your next stop is Elizabeth with a gorgeous project for you this week. Just click the graphic below to be taken there.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope to not be so long between posts next time!

CTC154 - Case a Colouring Project - Both Catalogues

Hello everyone! Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop. As this goes to air, I will have just got back from the Gold Coast with my stampin' buddies, having attended Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event (like a conference). It's going to be so much fun, essentially a girl's weekend away doing what we love! We will have just seen all the new goodies about to come out in the new Occasions Catalogue, can't wait.

This week the CTC Crew are CASEing a colouring project, yeah! I love colouring, there is something meditative about it, being completely absorbed in something. I have CASEd the below card. I liked how you used your stamps to create your own background.

As you can see I have stuck to the layout very closely, just swapping out images and colours. I coloured this image with my Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. Just scribbling a bit of the ink from the marker onto one of my acrylic blocks and then picking up the colour with my blender pen.

We would love it if you played along this week, just have a flick through the Catty and find a coloured project that takes your interest and put your spin on it. Click the graphic below for more info.

Thank you for stopping by today, please keep hopping around and checking out what the rest of the crew have made for you viewing pleasure! Next stop is the talented Elizabeth Gross, just click below to see her gorgeous creation.

Colour INKspiration #21 - Guest Designer - A Pocket Full of Colour

Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start. Today I am very honoured to be a Guest Designer for the Colour INKspiration Crew and join in on their blog hop. If you have started with me welcome! Otherwise, you have just hopped on over from my very talented friend Lou Kitzelman, just a bit of pressure following her awesome work!

Every fortnight the crew set a colour challenge on their Facebook page along with an accompanying blog hop showing how they have all interpreted the challenge. I love colour challenges as they often push you to use colours you would have never dreamed of using! Here is the colour palette for this fortnight.

Pretty, don't you think? I stayed with the flower theme and made a Rose Red Flower with the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set and accompanying punch, the little So Saffron & Peekaboo Peach flowers are also from the same set.

Punches make putting a card together so easy. The leaves are in my favourite stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue, Painted Harvest and they too have a matching punch. How cute is that pocket from Pocket Full of Sunshine in the Soft Sky Foiled Frenzy Designer Series Specialty Paper? I played around with some sentiments for my card but all of them detracted from the card so I kept it simple and cute and just used the teeny HBD from the Pocket Full of Sunshine, on the pocket tab.

Some inside card love, might as well use up some leftovers!

It is now time for you to hop along to Nicole Wilson, she is sure to have something to wow you! Just click the graphic below and you will be taken to her site.

Oh! and do join in on the fun! You don't need to have a blog just a Facebook page. Click HERE for more information.

Thank you so much for having me Colour INKspiration Crew!

CTC153 - Case a Holiday Catalogue Tag

Woohoo it's Sunday and I am super excited as this is the week of OnStage! OnStage is a conference where demonstrators go to catch up with each other, see and play with all the new products prior to them being released to the general public and come home with some fabulous, free new products, oh and did I mention we get to pre-purchase some of the new products too!!

Of course, I'm also excited to be CASEing and blog hopping with the rest of the crew from the current Holiday Catalogue. This week the brief is to CASE (Copy & Selectively Edit) a tag.

I decided that I was going to find a tag and use it for inspiration to make a card. See the tag on the red present? That angled line really caught my eye and therefore became my jumping off point for the design of my card.

That is where the similarities cease!

My card uses the solid leaf from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and I have used it with the "ghosting" technique. You simply first stamp the image in Craft ink and then once dry (don't forget Craft takes a little while longer) you stamp over top of it with your coloured image slightly offset.
We completed this card at our Cuppa & Card Class this week and the results were beautiful and of course everyone's was a little bit different, some ladies even did a third layer and stamped the stamp image with the outline and veins.

Some inside love!

We'd really love it if you joined in on the challenge, click the image below to be taken to our Facebook page.

It's now time for you to see what the talented Kelly Kent has in store for you. Spoiler alert! My favourite Christmas colour combo this year! Just click the image below to hop on over.

Bye for now!

CI20 - Channeling Pop Art!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week has started out to be a good one.

Today I am sharing an entry I have done for the Colour INKspiration challenge.

This was the brief.....

I was a bit stumped at first, what on earth was I going to create? Clutching my four paper swatches I gazed at my ever increasing stamp collection until my eyes rested upon Watts of Occasions and let's just say a light bulb went off! (hee hee, sorry I had to!)

A bit pop art-ish don't you think? The light bulbs are embossed with copper embossing powder and the rest was just simply cutting the four rectangles to the perfect size. I played with putting a sentiment on the front but it just ruined it so I popped it on the inside.

Thank you for popping by today, why don't you have a go at the Colour INKspiration Challenge too, you don't need a blog, just a Facebook account. Click HERE to go to their page.

CTC152 - Painted Autumn/Spooky Nights

Hello everyone! Welcome to this Sunday's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop, this week the crew will be CASEing from pages 48 - 55.

I chose to CASE the card below as I don't normally use much Designer Series Paper on my cards.

I'm really happy with how my card turned out. It was so quick and easy. One, I was CASEing a card and two, the background was as simple as cutting up a piece of pretty paper!

For the inside I just used the heart border die from the Sweet Treats Bag, so simple but effective.

We'd love for you to join in on the fun! Just click the image below for more information on our Facebook page.

It's time now to continue hopping, next stop, Mel who has a wonderful "treat" for you this week. Just click the image below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog for any questions just use the "Contact Me" section to the right on my blog page.

CTC151 - Catalogue Covers and Hostess Sets

Hi lovelies! It's me again, phew my third blog post for the day! Busy, busy, busy!! This time I am sharing with you my CASEing the Catty project for this week. The theme is.......

I've CASEd the card on the bottom right of the Holiday Catalogue but changed the orientation to portrait instead of landscape.

My Best Birds Stamp Set was gathering some dust, so I was happy to use it! The leaves are from Flourishing Framelits, I've just trimmed, added and molded them a bit to wrap around the Stitched Shape circle.

A little bit of inside love.

Sorry to make this post so short and sweet, it's crazy at our household at the moment with renovations and I had three blog posts to write today and paint some walls, do the laundry..... you know how it is!

We'd love it if you join along with our challenge and you don't need a blog to do so, you just need to upload a picture to our Facebook page. For more info click the graphic below......

Thanks for stopping by! I promise, no more blog posts today, phew! Now it is time to hop along and see what Elizabeth has in store for you, just click the graphic below....

ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds and 3D Projects Blog Hop

Howdy everyone! Welcome to the ESAD Fancy Folds & 3D projects blog hop. I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with, you are in for a treat!! Just in case you are not aware of what ESAD is or stands for........

I decided to do a Scallop Tag Punch Fancy Fold.

It's super easy, just start with half a piece of card stock, cut length ways though (ie. card stock in portrait position, shorts sides top & bottom in your trimmer). Score at 17cm. Insert each short end, centred, ALL the way into the punch (sometimes it takes a little bit of wiggling to thread it all the way in) and punch. Cut off the tabs and voila!

I used the Painted Harvest Stamp Set to decorate my card, so in love with it! I can't believe I wasn't going to get it, I'm so glad Miss P told me to get it. I'm so lucky, not only do I have my wishlist but I also have a 17 year olds wish list too, to try fulfill!

Time now to continue on your hop and see what Cheryl has in store for you! Just click the graphic below and if you get lost along the way, see the participant list at the very end!

Cheers Megan xx
